Someone is stealing Buchanan County road signs, and officials seek help from the public in putting a stop to it. More than 40 signs have been stolen or damaged in the eastern end of the county near 36 Highway, Route 31, and Mount Moriah Road.

Many of the signs are stop signs and officials worry that people unfamiliar with area roads could fail to stop, and cause an accident. Anyone with information is asked to call 271.4777 or 911.
