Kids First Town Hall Meeting This Friday

Education advocates will gather this Friday for a “Kids First Town Hall Meeting.”

The meeting will be hosted by the Missouri PTA and the St Joseph PTA Council at the Hillyard Technical Center, 3434 Faraon, Room 103.

Elected officials have been invited to attend, including Sen. Rob Schaaf, Rep. Pat Conway, Rep. Delus Johnson, and Rep. Galen Higdon. Congressman Sam Graves has also been asked to attend.

Dorothy Gardner, Missouri PTA Vice President of Legislation and Advocacy will moderate and will be asking questions related to Missouri PTA’s top priorities for local control of schools; funding for early childhood education; increased parental engagement; and tax credits for tuition to parents of nonpublic school children.
