Griffons come up short on the road against the Bearcats

MWSUA back-and-forth affair ended with the Missouri Western men coming up short in Maryville Wednesday night.

Northwest’s Alex Sullivan tied a school record with eight 3-pointers and helped shoot down the Griffons 59-52 at Bearcat Arena.

The Griffons were led in scoring by Cedric Clinkscales with 15 points on 7-11 shooting.  Adarius Fulton chipped in eight points.

Sullivan led Northwest with 25 points, including 8-15 shooting  from behind the arc.

The Griffons (9-14, 5-10 MIAA) held the Bearcats (17-8, 10-6)  to 35% shooting, but were out-rebounded 38-25.  Northwest outscored the Griffons 18-3 on second chance points.

Missouri Western returns home Saturday, February 23rd to host Nebraska-Kearney on “Military Appreciation Night” in the Fieldhouse.
