An armed robber brandishing a baseball bat held up two Casey’s convenience stores in Saint Joseph Monday morning. Just after two am he demanded money from the Casey’s at 401 East Hyde in South Saint Joseph. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. A half-hour later a robber of the same description held up the Casey’s at 22nd and Hickory. He left with cash. In both cases nobody was injured.
It was the second armed robbery in five days at the Casey’s on East Hyde. The robber in both holdups Monday wore a green Carhart-style jacket and a do-rag as a mask. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tips Hotline at 238.TIPS.
