State Senator Says Highway Patrol Damaged Its Credibility

mshp planeState Senator Brad Lager of Savannah says the Missouri State Highway Patrol has damaged its own credibility. Lager is disappointed the Patrol bought a new airplane without legislative approval. The Republican Senator says buying the $5.6-million airplane was a breach of trust.

Lager wants new restrictions requiring legislative approval for any future patrol purchase costing more than $100,000. The Senate has given the measure initial approval.
