An attempted robbery yielded nothing for the bad guy Sunday night in South Saint Joseph. Employees at King Hill Liquor Mart told police the suspect displayed a handgun when he entered at 9 pm and demanded money. But the store in the 47-hundred block of King Hill had been held up twice already this year and employees had had enough. Police say they “scared off” the would-be robber.

Nothing was taken and nobody was hurt. Police are now searching for the suspect, a man in dark clothing. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 238.TIPS.
