The St. Joseph Mustangs had their five-game winning streak snapped Monday night as they lost at Joplin, 12-4.

The Mustangs had to play from behind early Monday night as Joplin took a 3-0 lead after two innings. St. Joseph rallied to take the lead 4-3 in the top of the fifth inning, but the Outlaws answered with three in the bottom of the fifth, four more runs in the sixth inning and they capped off the win with two in the eighth.
All four pitchers that threw for the Mustangs allowed at least two runs and they combined to walk 11 batters. Cody Lane fell to 2-1 as he allowed three runs on four hits in just three innings of work.
Royce Duncan gave up three runs in 1.2 innings, Ryan Price allowed four in one inning pitched and Jordan Clark went 2.1 innings and gave up two runs.
St. Joe 3B Brent Seifert led the offense with two hits, two runs scored and one RBI. Six other Mustangs had at least one hit in game.
St. Joseph will play again in Joplin Tuesday night as the first pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
