Maxine Dewey, 93, Kimberling City, Missouri died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at a healthcare facility in Kimberling City, Missouri.
She was born June 23, 1920 to James and Verda Etchison in Savannah, Missouri.
Maxine married Clelan A. Dewey on December 12, 1945. He preceded her in death on October 4, 2011.
She was a member of Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and attended Bible study.
Maxine was preceded in death by a son, Paul. Survivors: children, A.J., Michael, and Grace Allsbury;
grandchildren, Matthew, Sarra Harville, Michaelle Frakes, Jan Yardley, Amy Dewey, Shellie Riley, and Aaron Allsbury; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services: 3:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.

Gary Lee Townsend

Gary Lee Townsend, 68, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center surrounded by family.
He was born January 26, 1945 to Ralph and Mary Townsend in King City, Missouri.
Gary was an avid motorcyclist and loved to play cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: companion, Judy Gerber; son, Curtis Townsend (Kathy); brothers, Charlie Townsend (Terri), and Jerry Townsend (Martha); granddaughters, Taylor, Megan, and Breann Townsend; great-grandson, Ryder Townsend; aunt, Nancy and John Zebelean; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Bobby A. Thomas

Bobby A. Thomas, 74, St. Joseph, Missouri died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 3, 1938 to L. Gordon and Marjorie Thomas in Memphis, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gordon Thomas.
Survivors: daughters, Michele Schultz (Randy), St. Joseph, Missouri, Leslie McGuire, Olympia, Washington; son, John Thomas, Overland Park, Kansas; grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, Lauren, and Nicholas Schultz; sister, Shirley Pounds; and nieces and nephews.
Bob spent his early years working on ranches throughout the western states. He graduated high school in Portland ,OR. There he enlisted in the Navy. Upon returning to the Portland area he married. From there he settled in the midwestern states to raise his family and persue his career in the mail order industry. He was a self taught man who was quite successful. He served on various Boards and committees, and was highly visible in the communities he resided in.Upon retirement he joined the Peace Corp and spent 2 years in Jamaica. He spent his last few years in St.Joseph near family. Family is performing a private ceremony at a later date. Any contributions can be made to the Humane Society or Second Harvest Food Bank.
