The Missouri Western tennis team avenged a 6-3 loss against Graceland University by winning 5-4 on the road on Friday afternoon. The Griffons picked up the fifth victory of the season and sit at 5-13 on the season.

The Griffons picked up victories in two of the three doubles matches to open the match. No. 2 doubles pair of Kayla Dysart and Alyssa Dougan defeated Heidi Myer and Michelle Maqueda 8-1 while Ceara Boldridge and Lindsay Beger defeated Sofia Jaramillo and Paige Robino in No. 3 doubles 8-1.

In singles competition the Griffons got victories from the bottom of the line-up. No. 4 player Ceara Boldridge defeated Maqueda 6-1, 6-2 while Beger defeated Heidi Myer 6-2, 6-2. No. 6 player Alyssa Dougan got the winning match defeating Robino 6-1, 6-0.

Graceland falls to 6-6 with the loss.

The Griffons return to action on Saturday, April 6 with an MIAA contest in St. Joseph against Lincoln University. Match time is set for 1:00 pm.
