Two motorists were killed in a head-on collision along US-36 highway in northern Kansas Monday evening.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports a Buick crossed the center line and hit an SUV about five miles east of Washington, Kansas.

The 18-year-old driver of the Buick, Keenan Jellison-Knock of Washington, was killed in the crash.  The other driver, Ruthann Minge, 60, of Hanover, Kansas, was also killed.

The accident happened shortly after five p.m. Monday.
