Carolyn L. Williams, 87, St. Joseph, Missouri went to her eternal home Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at a local healthcare facility.
Carolyn was born May 11, 1925 in Adel, Iowa, the daughter of Lurentes and Myrtle (Talbott) Morse.
She married Oscar H. Williams, Jr. on June 12, 1948.
Carolyn worked as a photographic retoucher for several studios, as a clerk at United Department store and as a telemarketer. She was also a member of Woodson Chapel Christian Church.
Carolyn loved her family very much and spending time with them, especially during the holidays. She also enjoyed giving her time to charities, having spent time with the March of Dimes and the local food kitchen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Dorothy Kilgore; and nephew, John Sprague.
Survivors: sons, David Williams (Kathie), Maryville, Missouri and Donnie Williams, St. Joseph, Missouri; six grandchildren, Shane Williams (Amy) and Tracy Stewart (Melissa), St. Joseph, Missouri, Amanda Wiederholt (Jason), Jacob Williams, Elijah Williams, and Brooklynn Williams, Maryville, Missouri; eleven great-grandchildren; niece, Mary Norris; and great-niece, Melanie Norris.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodson Chapel or a charity of the Donor’s Choice. Ronald L. Hootman, 60, Oregon, Missouri died Monday, April 15, 2013 at his home.
He was born July 5, 1952 to Lynn and Lois Hootman in Cameron, Missouri.
He married Phillis Hayes. She survives of the home.
Ronald was with the St. Joseph Fire Department for twenty-one years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors: wife; seven children, Tina White, Tiffani Sonderegger, Andrea Slawson, Shaina Hayes, Tim Prothers, Barbara Loins, and Lee Loins; nineteen grandchildren; and a sister, Cheryl Weisgerber.
