The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department is conducting a death investigation after a body was found at a state park.

A maintenance worker at Wallace State Park discovered the body of an adult white female near the lake on Friday. Investigators are not commenting on the investigation.

Assisting with the investigation are quite a few other agencies: Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control, Missouri Park Rangers, Cameron Police Department, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department, Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department, and Cameron Fire Department.
