After a brief illness and brave fight Gordon Lemar, 78, Graham, Missouri, passed away peacefully Monday, April 22, 2013, at Laverna Village Nursing Home, Savannah, Missouri with his family at his side.

Gordon was born April 7, 1935, in Craig, Missouri to Russell Milton and Frankie Lucille (Wickiser) Lemar.

A high school graduate of Pickett High School, St. Joseph, he attended Northwest Missouri State University and was a farmer in the Graham community for his lifetime. Gordon enjoyed playing cards, attending activities with his grandchildren, tractor pulls, snow mobiling, and dancing.
He liked to hear and tell a good joke. He loved farming and his cattle and calves.

He married Charlotte Fae Fuston on March 24, 1957, in Graham, Missouri. Charlotte preceded Gordon in death January 20, 2012.

Preceding Gordon in death were his wife, his parents, and a sister Phyllis Tiedeman.

Survivors include son Scott (Cindy) Lemar, Graham, daughter Lori (Kip) Beer, Kansas City, MO, grandchildren Lauren (Mike) Shoener, Zach and Frankie Lemar, sisters Rita Lea Heitman, Smithville, MO, and Rhonda (Roger) Messner, Graham, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins

A visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Graham United Methodist Church, with burial following in the Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham.

Memorials may be made to the Gordon and Charlotte Lemar Memorial Scholarship Fund, % Nodaway Holt R-7 School, 318 South Taylor, Graham, Missouri 64455 in Gordon’s name.
