Debra Dawn Ray, 59, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Laverna Village in Savannah, Missouri.
She was born November 18, 1953 to Donald and Auretta (Spillman) James in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Debra had a special fondness for Elvis Presley and enjoyed listening to his music.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers.
Survivors: aunt, Helen Decker; uncle, Harold Spillman; several cousins; and many friends.

Shirley A. Ball
1930-2013

Shirley A. Ball, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born August 9, 1930 to Elijah and Goldie (Martin) Ball in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Shirley worked as a Psychiatric Aide at the St. Joseph State Hospital until retiring in 1991. She later worked in the tourist information center for six years. In her younger years, she worked two jobs to support her and her son.
She was a member of United Methodist Church, Platte City, Missouri. She also volunteered for five years at Heartland Hospital and St. Luke’s Northland Hospital.
Ms. Ball enjoyed volunteering with the Platte City Chamber of Commerce for over ten years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant brother.
Survivors: son, Cory Ball (Susan), Platte City, Missouri; and granddaughters, Ali and Andrea of the home.
