Charges were filed Tuesday against a Kansas City Kansas man for Monday’s Bank Robbery at the South Belt Wal-Mart.
65-year-old John Noon faces first degree robbery, a class A felony.
Prosecutors allege Noon robbed the Academy Bank inside the South Belt Wal-Mart store Monday morning. His bond is set at $75,000 and arraignment is scheduled for Friday.
Police acted on a tip yesterday that a suspect liked to gamble. Police found a vehicle spotted on surveillance camera’s at the casino in St Joseph and the suspect was found inside. The vehicle was described as a white PT Cruiser.
He was taken into custody without incident. According to the probable cause statement, Noon is also linked to a bank robbery over the weekend in Kansas City Kansas.
