A man and woman from Kearney were hospitalized after a nearly head-on crash on US-169 north of Trimble, Missouri on Monday evening.

Officials say a 17-year-old motorist failed to yield and turned left in front of their vehicle.

Samuel Baker of Smithville was not injured.

John Ball, 59, and Tonnie Ball, 63, of Kearney were taken to North Kansas City Hospital with moderate injuries.
