Livingston County deputies arrested a Linneus man on charges of stealing a vehicle south of Chillicothe, driving it to a remote location near Bedford, stealing its contents, and then setting it on fire.

Sheriff Steve Cox says 45-year-old Wilbur Gene Hicks is being held under $25,000 cash bond on charges of Knowingly Burning or Exploding and two counts of Felony Stealing.

Cox says his deputies have recovered most of the tools and equipment taken from the vehicle.
