The Platte River is continuing to rise.  Buchanan County Emergency Management Director Bill Brinton says at 11:30 am the Platte was at 24.54 feet which is just a few inches below the moderate flood stage of 25 feet.

NOAA is predicting a crest of 27.1 feet.

At 25 feet, Brinton says we can expect moderate flooding along near the southeast edge of the City of Agency

Our usual Buchanan County Roads are closed: Mitchell Avenue, Saxton/Easton Road, Rock Bridge Road and Kemmerer Road.

Brinton reminds us not to drive around our barricades and remember never to drive into standing water.
