Schedule changes announced last week at the Chiefs training camp this summer have prompted some changes in concessions at training camp.
Brad McAnnally, the Store Director at Hyvee, says the grocer will not provide concessions.
“We are not going to be the concessionaire this summer,” McAnnally said in an interview. “I don’t know that they’ll even have concessions. I believe Aramark will provide water and pop, and that’ll be all that’ll be available out there.”
Officials at Missouri Western say Aramark will offer food and drink at training camp, although the menu may not have been finalized yet.
Last week, the Chiefs announced that all but one of the teams practices will be held in the morning starting at 8:15 a.m.
“With the announcement, there’s absolutely no need for the tent, and all the other expenses that go with Chiefs training camp, when people will not eat in the morning,” McAnnally said. “As soon as practice is over at 11:30, they typically will not stay, they’ll go to restaurants in town. So, there’s no reason for us to set up out there this year.”
Training camp will officially kick off on Friday, July 26 at the training facility on campus at Missouri Western State University.
