A vehicle crash south of St Joseph sent two area teenagers to the hospital Sunday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened shortly after 5pm on US-59 at 60th Road, ten miles south of St Joe.

Investigators say Colton Couch, 17, of Dekalb, made a wide right turn and his pickup was hit from behind by another truck.

Couch and his passenger, Jaden Foulk, 17,  of St Joseph, suffered what were described at the scene as moderate injuries.

They were both transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the other truck, Thomas Roberts, 50, of St Joseph, was not injured.
