Information Meetings On Public Safety Tax Vote

City hall from across civic center parkThe city of St. Joseph announced a series of public meetings regarding the upcoming public safety tax on the August 6 ballot.

In a news release, officials say the purpose of the public meetings is to share factual information about the public safety tax and its proposed uses.

A brief presentation of factual information will be provided by city staff followed by an opportunity for questions.

The public is encouraged to attend so they will be informed on the issue prior to voting on Election Day, August 6.

The meetings will be held on the following dates:
Thursday, July 18 7pm Fraternal Order of Police building 3005 Pear St.
Tuesday, July 23 7pm Council Chamber, City Hall 1100 Frederick Ave.
Wednesday, July 24 7pm Council Chamber, City Hall 1100 Frederick Ave.
Monday, July 29 7pm Council Chamber, City Hall 1100 Frederick Ave.
