A motorcyclist from Hamilton, Missouri was injured in a three-vehicle accident west of Chillicothe on US-36 early Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Volkswagen was hit from the rear by a Nissan at 12:19 am Sunday. The driver of the Nissan then hit the brakes and swerved into the passing lane, where it was hit by the motorcycle.

Traffic investigators say Jason Blakley, 24 was ejected from his Kawasaki Ninja and skidded down the roadway.

Blakley was transported by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center where he was treated for moderate injuries.
