A 22-year-old St Joe man escaped with minor injuries after a crash in Country Club Village Wednesday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Cody Elliott lost control of his Chevy Trailblazer on a curve along Highway DD at Country road 381 at 10:48 pm Wednesday.

According to an online crash report, the vehicle left the roadway, hit a highway sign, went airborne briefly before it hit a tree.

Elliott was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center.

Officials at the scene described his injuries as minor.
