Rallies supporting Starbucks and the Second Amendment are sweeping across the United States today.

Thousands of gun owners are heading to Starbucks today after a grassroots movement on facebook declaring today Starbucks Appreciation Day.

Starbucks has declared in company policy customers are allowed to carry firearms into their stores where the law allows.  The event endorses the view of CEO Howard Schultz, who has says customers with firearms are welcome at Starbucks.

The grassroots movement has garnered a lot of attention from both sides of the issue on the company facebook page.  The Appreciation Day has also seen the gun-control crowd criticizing Starbucks.

The company insist they hold a neutral stance on gun control issues.
