An eight-year-old girl was killed in an ATV accident in north central Kansas Saturday night.

According to a crash report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Mary Hannah Horner, 8, of Belleville, Kansas was the passenger on a Polaris Ranger. The ATV was being driven by a nine-year-old Scandia, Kansas girl at 8:40 pm on 70th Road northwest of Scandia.

The driver, Hailey Robinson, lost control of the vehicle on a gravel access road. The ATV rolled and ejected both driver and passenger.

Robinson suffered disabling injuries and was taken to Republic County Hospital for treatment.
