Jerry Arthur Homan
1959-2013
Jerry Arthur Homan, 54, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at his home.
He was born July 19, 1959 to Jerry and Carol (Chaney) Homan in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He married the love of his life Debra Haggard on September 17, 1983. Jerry and Debbie gave birth to their daughter Ashleigh Nicole on March 5, 1985. Debbie and Ashleigh survive of the home
His sidekick and favorite buddy was his six year old grandson Brody Quinn. They spent a lot of time together and understood each other in a way no one else could. When they hung out together they liked to play basketball, baseball, drive remote control cars, take rides in the convertible, blow bubbles, “fish” in the basement, ride on the mower around the block, ride bikes, water the flowers, and shared their love for sweets.
He met his best friend, Kirk Potter while on the job and they became very close and shared a bond that could not be equaled.
Jerry worked for Continental Fire Sprinkler Company as a sprinkler-fitter, pipe-fitter, and a service technician.
He enjoyed motorcycles, collecting guns and knives, going to the shooting range with his daughter Ashleigh, and western movies with Clint Eastwood. He was the most at peace in the mountains, Lake Tahoe, and the coast. He was a jack of all trades and master of all, and would help anyone in need. He appreciated, valued, and lived for his love of music and the lyrics, and message they delivered. He also enjoyed gardening and working on his Rubicon Jeep Wrangler. He was a history and trivia buff and knew the answer to any questions anyone ever asked him. He was also a member of Roadfitters Union #669.
