Ralland A. Smith, 81, Mascoutah, Illinois died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at a healthcare facility in Illinois.

He was born October 23, 1931 to Earl and Ethel (Herndon) Smith in Parnell, Missouri.

He married Maro Dafni, who preceded him death in 2010.

Ralland retired from the United States Air Force after twenty-seven years and later worked and retired as a manager from the United States Post Office. Ralland and Maro later moved to Greece and lived there for eighteen years and moved back to the states in 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife.

Survivors: daughter, Zoi Hollis (Harold); grandson, Christian Hollis; sisters, Marceline Sauter and Beverly Rivera; and a brother, Robert Smith.

Services: 1:30 P.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
