The body of a missing man was recovered from the Missouri River Tuesday morning.

The man was reported missing Monday and his body was found in the river near Rushville by the Buchanan County Sheriff’s office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A name was not released but foul play is not suspected in the mans death.  The investigation does continue and an autopsy is planned.

A statement released by the Sheriff’s office Tuesday stated “The Sheriff’s Department would like to extend their condolences to the man’s family during this hard time. “
