Carl Robert McQueen 67, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Wednesday September 4, 2013 at a Saint Joseph Missouri hospital.

He was born September 3, 1946 in St. Joseph, Missouri son of Pauline & Wallace McQueen. He graduated from Gower high school and married Barbara Thompson on April 9, 1967, and they shared 46 years together. He retired from Rhone-Poulenc chemical company after 27 years of service as a Chemical Handler. He enjoyed long car rides, woodworking, and loved making puzzles.

He was a member of the Three Angels 7th Day Adventist Church. Carl was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife, Barbara McQueen of the home, his children: Gidget (Bryan) Lynch of St. Joseph, Carl McQueen Jr. of Florida, Sandy (Dex) Blum of St. Joseph, and Amy Jo (Clint) Edwards of Cameron, MO, nine grandchildren, Alxia Blum, Brittany Lynch, Steven Lynch, Taig Blum, Zane Edwards, Dalton Lynch, Colin Edwards, Caleb Lynch, and Emily Edwards, and a great grandson Ryland, he also had several brothers & sisters as well as his beloved dog Daisy. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Three Angels 7th Day Adventist Church, 5401 Mitchell Ave, St. Joseph, MO. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Saturday at the church. He has been cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.
