Mary L. Prindle
1936-2013
Mary Prindle, 76, of St. Joseph passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 5, 2013 at her residence.
Mary was born September 9, 1936 to Albert and Hilda (Roach) Sands in Leavenworth, KS. She lived her entire life in St. Joseph where she graduated from Lafayette High School, Class of 1953 and married Jerry Prindle on July 2, 1961, who precedes her in death.
Mary was a member of Copeland Baptist Church and former member of King Hill Baptist Church. Volunteering as Treasurer of the Baptist Association and an election official at area polls, she could always be counted on to help with a ride or a few dollars when needed. Mary was always humming and enjoyed taking daily walks as well as providing witty commentary.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Jerry; brothers, Paul, Leroy, and Richard Sands; sisters, Alberta Bird and Maxine Peters.
Survivors include daughter, Sheryl (Sherry) Prindle, of Kansas City, and numerous nieces and nephews including Ronda and David Williams with whom she lived.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Clark-Sampson Funeral Home with interment following in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Charles Steele officiating. Visitation will be after 12:00 noon Sunday at the funeral home where family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Copeland Baptist Church.
