Rain crept into Saint Joseph at dawn Sunday morning and gave the parched city and surrounding crops .46 of an inch of moisture by noon.  Official National Weather Service readings showed .02 of an inch between 7 and 8 am. The intensity picked up in the next hour, when .16 fell. Then after a short pause, another wave of showers provided .13 from 10 to 11 and .15 from 11 to noon.
