Margaret Ann (Sell) Flathman, 88, St. Joseph, Missouri died Monday, October 7, 2013 at her home.

She was born September 14, 1925 to George and Anna (Stroh) Sell in Chester, Nebraska. She was Baptized September 27, 1925 at St. John’s Lutheran and sponsored by her Aunt and Uncle Henry Hock.

She married Elmer Herman Flathman on August 26, 1945 in Chester, Nebraska. He preceded her in death.

Margaret was a very active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran in Deshler, Nebraska; Faith Lutheran in Hebron, Nebraska; and St. Paul Lutheran in St. Joseph, Missouri. While active in her church she was in Ladies Aid, Sunday School Teacher, Altar Guild, sang in the choir and Bible studies.

She was supportive of her family, in baby-sitting, or whatever was needed, an avid collector and she loved baby-sitting and did so in Hebron, Plantation, and St. Joseph.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lillian Wegener and Martha Rose Willett; one brother, Arno Sell; one granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Flathman; and one brother-in-law, William Wegner.

Survivors: daughter, Carrie Fett (Mike), St. Joseph, Missouri; son, Larry Flathman (Monica), Davenport, Iowa; Diane Molthan (Robert), Hebron, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Leona Sell, Chester, Nebraska; granddaughter, Melissa Palmer (David), Agency, Missouri; grandsons, Randy Russell (Christina), Parkville, Missouri, Chad Russell (Jennie), St. Joseph, Missouri, Shawn Molthan (Heidi), Lincoln, Nebraska, Tory Molthan (Becky), Catherine, Kansas, Brent Molthan, Lincoln, Nebraska, John Flathman, Des Moines, Iowa, Christopher Flathman, Davenport, Iowa; granddaughters, Anne Flathman, Davenport, Iowa and Susan Fairburn (Virgil), Ocala, Florida; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service: 4:30 P.M. Wednesday, October 9th, St. Paul Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends 3:30 to 4:30 P.M. at the church.

Services: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12, Faith Lutheran Church, 420 Charles Rd, Hebron, NE. Interment St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Chester, NE. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, Price Funeral Home, Hebron, NE, where friends may call after 3:00 P.M. Friday.
