Charles Francis Payne, 75, Maryville, Missouri, died Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Golden Living Center, Maryville, .
Charles was born November 9, 1937, in Canton, South Dakota to Eli J. and Lenoa Lucille (Taylor) Payne.
Formerly of Hopkins, Missouri and Omaha, Nebraska, Charles was employed by the Crouse Cartage Company as a truck driver.
He married Sandra Vance on September 12, 1961, in Glenwood, Iowa.
Charles was a member of the Teamsters for 28 years and the NRA for 25 years.
Preceding in death were his parents, sister Beverly Jean Harmon, niece Sherry Irwin, and great granddaughter Abigale Payne.
Survivors include wife Sandra Jo Payne of their home, sons Stephen J. (Lois) Payne, and Charles J. (Lora) Payne, both of Omaha, Nebraska, brothers Arlo (Patsy) Payne, Moses Lake, Washington, and Dewayne (Lenora) Payne, Hampton, Iowa, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 Sunday, at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, October 14 , 2013, at the Price Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood, Missouri.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association in Charles’s name.
