Grace (Badger) Bohannon, 101, Dearborn, Missouri passed away on, Thursday, October 10, 2013 at her home peacefully with her family by her side.
Grace was a jolly person and enjoyed life. She lived every day to the fullest. She had a heart of gold.
Grace was born to Asa and Katherine Badger on March 13, 1912. Mr. Badger was a coal miner who passed away in 1922, leaving a wife and five children (all deceased). The family moved to Browning, Missouri, where Grace attended a one room school named Clem Springs. That is where she met a classmate Bill Bohannon. They grew up as friends for many years and finally became man and wife. Grace graduated high school and afterwards they moved to the St. Joseph area. In 1936 they moved to their farm in Dearborn, Missouri. They worked the farm together until Bill passed away on September 28, 1996. He passed away just after celebrating their 70th anniversary of happiness together.
Grace remained on the farm with the help of her nephew Kenneth Parker and wife Carol. They helped take care of Bill and Grace in their later years. She was also blessed with the help of her good neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Vern Johnson.
Survivors: many nephews and nieces.
