Sharon Roderick Vaughn
1935-2013

Sharon Roderick Vaughn, 77, Kimberling City, Missouri died October 11, 2013.

She was born December 8, 1935 to Cecil and Virginia (Miller) Roderick in Milan, Missouri.

She married William H. Vaughn on June 9, 1957.

She was a retired elementary school teacher for the St. Joseph School District. She also was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority, St. Joseph Junior League and PEO.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, antiquing, and being a mother, grandmother and teacher. As a child advocate, she believed that if it isn’t good for children, it shouldn’t be done.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Dianne Vaughn Meier.

Survivors: husband, William H. Vaughn; daughters, Melissa Anthony and Lynne Harman; grandchildren, Sarah Smidt, Brooks Anthony, Addison Anthony, Bennett Harman and Claire Harman; brother, Edward E. Roderick; sister, Patricia Farrand.

Services: 1:00 P.M. Thursday, First Presbyterian Church. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
