Two accused killers appeared in Buchanan County court Thursday.
Both Martin Rilinger and Robert Jarrell waived their right to a preliminary hearing on charges of second degree murder. Judge Ron Taylor scheduled Circuit Court arraignment for Rilinger November 14th, and for Jarrell on November 7th.
The pair are charged with the fatal beating of Jason Davies at a St Joseph apartment September 15. Officials found the body four days later in the Missouri River in Leavenworth.
Three other people are charged with assisting after the homicide. Dollie Williams is charged with tampering with physical evidence, for allegedly cleaning up the bloody apartment. Williams is scheduled for preliminary hearing November 1.
Patricia Butler allegedly called her brother Billy Wilson for help disposing of the body. Wilson is accused of suggesting they dump Davies in the river and helping them find a wheel barrow. Both are charged with tampering with evidence.
Butler is scheduled for preliminary hearing November 15. Wilson is due back in court October 29.
