Student Kills Teacher For The Second Time This Week

gun control sculptureSchools in Danvers, Massachusetts were closed Wednesday after the body of a teacher was found in the woods hear her school. A 14-year-old student is in custody and faces murder charges. This is the second fatal shooting this week involving a teacher and student.

The suspect was located and arrested Wednesday morning after a missing persons report issued Tuesday. Authorities began searching for the teen when he failed to come home after school. That’s the word from Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett.

Massahusetts State Police detectives continue their investigation.

On Monday, a seventh grader shot and killed a teacher in Sparks, Nevada. Authorities there now say the parents of the 12-year-old could face charges.

Police say the youth got the 9mm semi-automatic handgun from his home and on Monday went on a schoolyard rampage at Sparks Middle School, wounding two boys and killing math teacher Michael Landsberry.

The boy then shot himself in the head.
