A Grant City woman was hospitalized after a one-vehicle crash involving a horse.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 32-year-old Valarie Lee was driving on US-169 south of the Village of Gentry at about 2:30am Thursday.

Her Dodge struck a horse in the roadway, then careened off the highway and into an embankment.

Lee was transported to Northwest Medical Center in Albany with moderate injuries.
