The United Way of Greater Saint Joseph says this year’s campaign is competing against politics, the economy, and healthcare. President Kylie Strough says constant news reports of events in Washington have been a distraction.
With a week-and-a-half left in the campaign, pledges are about halfway to the $3.3-million goal. Strough says once people do focus on the campaign, support will step up as it always has.
People can donate by mail, in person, or online. Donations by mail should go to PO Box 188, Saint Joseph, Missouri, 64502. They can be brought to 188 South 5th Street. To donate online, click here. The campaign ends November 7.
