Cameron Man Charged After Highway Shooting Incident

Cameron PD2Cameron police report they’ve arrested a local man on charges stemming from an incident with shots fired between vehicles near I-35 and US Highway 36.

Officers made contact with the victim who admitted involvement in an altercation with another motorist which resulted in a window in the victim’s vehicle being broken. There were no injuries in the incident Thursday afternoon. Police were able to locate the suspect, Cody Gormley.

The 23-year-old Cameron man was arrested for assault as well as careless and reckless driving.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Clinton County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
