Waves of thunderstorms brought hail, high winds, and heavy rain to the Saint Joseph area. For nearly three hours Saturday night spring-like weather pounded the city, bringing down tree limbs, marble-sized hail, and drenching rain.

Between 6 pm and 9 pm a total of .83 of an inch of rain was recorded officially by National Weather Service instruments at Rosecrans Memorial Airport.
