Emergency Management officials in Clinton County tell us their 9-1-1 system went down in some areas Tuesday.

They urge you to try 9-1-1 first, and if it does not work, dial *55 from a cell phone to connect with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

There are local land line phone numbers that will work in some cities.

If in Holt, land lines call 816-320-3909. If in Cameron, call 816-632-6521. If in Lathrop 816-740-4251. In Trimble, call 816-357-2228. In Lawson, call 816-269-3232

Callers from land-lines in Gower and Plattsburg can still call 911.

Meanwhile, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department phone system was reported out of service for all residents outside the city limits of Kingston and Hamilton.

All residents who are unable to make contact with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department through their main line or the 911 System are asked to call the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop H Headquarters at 816-387-2345 or *55 on your cellular phone for an emergency.
