James “Jim” S. Giles
1946-2013

James “Jim” S. Giles, 67, St. Joseph, Missouri died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 29, 1946 to Orville and Stella (Wisneski) Giles in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He married Mary Kay (Breslin) on August 3, 1968. She survives of the home.
Jim received his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering at Rolla School of Mines.
He was the owner of Giles Engineering Service since 2003.
Mr. Giles was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and St. Joseph Construction Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Marilyn “Susie” Gilchrist and Betty Saverino.
Additional Survivors: daughters, Susan Kidd (Troy) and Anne Giles; sons, Brian Giles and Daniel Giles; five grandchildren, Allison Kidd, Haylee Kidd, Jackson Giles, Isabelle Giles and Grace Giles; sisters, Delores Lorenz (Tom), Dorothy Kretzer, and Margie Mahlandt (Harry); brothers, William Giles (Joan) and Richard Giles (Maureen); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 A.M. Monday, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Inurnment Mount Olivet Cemetery, at a later date. Parish Rosary 6:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
