James E. Mann

Mann, James EJames E. Mann, 93, Maryville, Missouri died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Maryville.

Jim was born July 7, 1920 in Rural Parnell, Missouri, the son of Edward and Catherine (Stingley) Mann. He was a member of the 1938 Class of Harmony High School and he married Estel Lee Scadden, on March 27, 1940 in Albany, Missouri.

He was a US Army Paratrooper in WWII and a member of the Curry Richardson Sparks Waldeier American Legion Post #528 in Parnell, Missouri.

Jim retired as a locksmith from the maintenance department of Northwest Missouri State University.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Estel Lee on May 15, 2011 and his parents.

Survivors include his daughter: Judy (Gary) Coffelt, Maryville; grandchildren: Ted Coffelt, O’Neil, Nebraska; Troy (Wendy) Coffelt, Ravenwood, Missouri and Tammy (Matt) Sorensen, Savannah, Missouri, nine great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-7 pm, Sunday, December 8, 2013, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Graveside Services will be 10am Monday, December 9th at Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville. Military Services will be conducted by the Missouri Military Honors Team and the Curry Richardson Sparks Waldeier American Legion Post #528.

Memorials may be made to Golden Living Care Center, Maryville, in James name.
