Teen driver injured in Sunday evening crash

Missouri Highway PatrolA teenage driver was injured in a Sunday evening crash in Atchison County.
According to the Missouri Highway patrol nineteen-year-old Jessica C. Kirk of Skidmore was driving 1997 Dodge Neon west on Mo. 46, seven miles east of Fairfax.
The car crossed the center of the road and travelled off the south side of the road. The car then went airborne and struck a tree, embankment and concrete culvert and came to rest on its wheels in a creek off the south side of the road. Kirk was transported to Fairfax Community Hospital and later transported to a hospital in Omaha. She was wearing a seat belt.
