The Red Cross is looking for new disaster volunteers.

On February 18, from 9am to 4pm, the Midland Empire Chapter will host a one-day training session at their headquarters at 401 North 12th Street in St Joseph.

An Overview will be held in the morning followed by a Shelter Fundamentals course in the afternoon. These courses will provide an overview of disaster services as well as focus on feeding and sheltering the public after a disaster incident. These courses will prepare someone to respond locally or nationally and are free.
