Republican State Leadership Committee President Matt Walter, on behalf of the Republican Lieutenant Governors Association (RLGA), announced the 2014 RLGA Executive Committee. Missouri’s Peter Kinder and Jeff Colyer of Kansas were among 12 named to the executive committee.
“We thank Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Tate Reeves and Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor Todd Lamb for showing their commitment to the RLGA by serving as chairman and vice chairman,” Walter said in a news release.
“Republican Lieutenant Governors are pushing key policies in their states that are leading to increased job growth, we look forward to supporting these great leaders in 2014.”
The RLGA is the only national organization whose mission is to elect Republican lieutenant governors. The association provides lieutenant governors and candidates with financial support and assists in message development. The RLGA currently claims 28 of the 45 Lieutenant Governor offices nationwide. Republicans currently hold 13 of the 19 independently-elected positions and 15 of the 26 team-elected/appointed seats.
