(UPDATE) 6:50pm St Joseph police confirm that the young girl has been found and is safe at home.

St Joseph police are hoping you can help them locate a young girl who turned up missing shortly after school on Monday.

According to a Nixle alert from the St Joseph Police Department, they are looking for a missing Eight-year-old girl.

Hailey Gawatz is described as four feet tall, weighing about 80 pounds, with brown hair. She was wearing a purple jacket and jeans.

Police say she was last seen near Hosea Elementary at 3:05pm.
