Charges have been filed against two men after a traffic stop on I-29 north of Platte City. Officials say the vehicle was stopped for numerous traffic violations on the night of February 14.
According to the Platte County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy smelled marijuana smoke, and obtained permission to search the vehicle. Inside hediscovered 67 marijuana plants, approximately 8.5 pounds of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, Joshua A. Quinn, age 25, of Castle Rock, Colorado and a passenger, Joseph D. Willis, age 53, of Auburn, Massachusetts, were arrested and charged with Distribution-Delivery-Maunfacture-Produce-or Possession With The Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, a Class B Felony.
Mr. Quinn’s cash bond is $25,000 and Mr. Willis’s cash bond is $35,000. Both individuals are currently in the Platte County Detention Center. They are scheduled to appear in court on March 4, 2014.
