Million-dollar Powerball ticket sold in NE Kansas

Kansas lotteryTOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — The Kansas Lottery says that someone is holding a Powerball ticket worth $1 million.

The ticket for Saturday night’s drawing in the multistate game was sold in the northeastern part of Kansas. Lottery officials said Monday it matched the first five numbers in the drawing, but not the Powerball.

Saturday’s numbers were 13-28-31-55-58, Powerball 15. A single ticket sold in Missouri hit the jackpot of $96.5 million.

Holders of winning tickets have one year to claim their prizes. Kansas law allows winners to remain anonymous if they choose.
